Knitting at home again...

So I'm back from my fantastic and fabulous NYC trip... My husband and I both had the time of our lives! The New Jersey countryside was beautiful, NYC was amazing and NY Comic Con / Anime Fest was unbelievable. I met and had my picture taken with Ulrich Schnauss and Voltaire (two great musicians), and I even sang onstage with Voltaire! I like to think I have a way with words, but mere words could never convey the amazing sights/sounds/experiences we had in and around the city. So now my husband is obsessed with moving us to NYC or maybe one of the other boroughs like Brooklyn sometime within the next year or two. I think we could do it!

While I was there, I didn't really have a lot of time to knit, obviously. But I did work a little on my Mini Mochi rib knit scarf, and of course, I finished my One Row Lace scarf before I went. I was glad to finish that scarf since it was kind of chilly up north! While I was in the city, I went to a tiny little yarn store in Manhattan called Gotta Knit! and bought some nice superwash wool blend yarns to make more of the bad hair day kerchiefs (I finished one before leaving and people seemed to really like it!). I got them in fairly plain/boring colors (white, grey and black). Oh, and I also purchased a set of circular needles! As soon as I'm done with the MM scarf, I'll have a go at circular knitting. I'm interested in making a pair of hand/wrist warmers, so that could be fun... and once I've done that, it will be sock making time!

I'm still just as in love with knitting as ever~ and when I've finished my MM scarf, I'll put up some pics of that, my kerchief(s) and whatever else I've finished in the meantime. Oh, and when I was in the city, I passed by a bike covered in yarn! Since it was right outside of a store specializing in knit items, I'm going to assume it was there as advertisement and not as yarnbombing but still, it was pretty awesome.
