Leaving on a jet plane...

So, I've been knitting for about two weeks. Here are some of the things I've finished/are in progress right now:

Kerchief 2

Pouch Post Felting

Scarf With Lifeline

Mini Mochi Scarf

Ravelry and knitting help are the two sites that have helped me the most on this short and fascinating journey. I am not ashamed to say that I love knitting! I think I've found a lifelong love for yarn~ the colors, the feel of soft wools/silks/blends, the act of knitting itself, the end results... it's fantastic. I love it all!

In other news, I'm leaving for NYC in just a few days, so I'm frantically trying to finish up my second scarf and just one of my hair wraps (I have three in the works) while simultaneously trying to pack and otherwise make ready for the trip. I'm going to try to bring my knitting on the plane with me, but I've read that the TSA can sometimes be jerks about that, so I'll also bring a SASE so I can mail my needles/what I'm working on home from the airport... but I'll still have more needles and yarn in my checked bag! Aside from all of that, I'm certainly excited about going to "the Center of the Universe"*. And while I'm there for 11 days, I'll try to sneak in a visit to a LYS (Local Yarn Store) in between New York Comic Con, SUBCON Fest, Ulrich Schnauss and other miscellaneous adventures!
